For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to beautiful, thoughtfully made things. Some of my earliest memories are of my grandparents’ home. Finishing homework at my grandfather’s desk while distracted by the objects surrounding me, or watching my grandmother set a holiday table with interesting platters, collected pieces, and unexpected details.
My grandmother had a love of beauty that carried through to my mother and, eventually, to me.
That appreciation for objects with character and a sense of story is at the heart of Peggy Lee Pottery. I create pieces by hand that are meant to feel collected rather than perfect. Thoughtful, a little playful, and worthy of becoming part of someone’s home and traditions.
Now, becoming a mother has given me a new source of inspiration. I find myself thinking more about the things we surround ourselves with, the traditions we create, and the small details our children may one day remember.
Peggy Lee Pottery is my way of carrying a little of that forward, beautiful things made by hand.
